Hello!
Warm welcomes from your Oglethorpe University literary magazine staff! The Tower is an OU community organization that accepts submissions of poetry, prose, short stories, articles, drawings, paintings, and more from students, staff, and friends of the Ogle family. We invite you to submit your creative works for the opportunity to be published in our biannual creative magazine.

Submission guidelines:
Use this link to submit your work or email thetowerou@gmail.com with “(SEMESTER) Submission” as the subject and the work(s) as an attachment
Denote the name under which you wish to be credited: anonymous and pen names allowed
Denote the title of the piece (“Untitled” is a title)
Written submissions should be in Times New Roman 12 pt font
Visual art or photography submissions should be in .jpg or .png or .tiff format
Maximum of 5 submissions per person
Maximum length for written submissions is 5 pages (single-spaced)
You may submit up to 3 pieces of poetry or 1 prose/fiction/nonfiction piece
You may submit up to 3 photos, pieces of art, songs, short films, or multimedia pieces.
We will try to print as much artwork/photography as possible in color, but please be aware that your work may be published in black and white.
For written work we do NOT take wordpad docs, screenshots of written work, works in the bodies of emails, or outside links to work (other than google docs). We DO take Microsoft Word docs. .pdfs, and google docs.
Make sure before you send in written work that you have removed your name from the text in the document. This ensures blind judging.
Acceptance status will be emailed within a week after the submission deadline, inquire if it has been more than two.
